What is the problem with accepting pesos for pizza?

Question by Candy: What is the problem with accepting pesos for pizza?
I am a college student and i go on vacation to Mex quite often. I always end up with a lot of extra pesos that usually go unused because Mex has this crazy money system that freq changes currency making what you have obsolete. Trying to buy back dollars is a pain and you usually end up losing a lot of money. So hey, if I can use the money here to buy pizza, why not? I don’t think it makes me unpatriotic. I’m just as proud to be an American as the next person. In fact, most of the people that are buying the pizza are legalized Mexicans (and maybe even some American tourists) that went home for the holidays and came back with some left over money. Most of the people here illegaly haven’t been to Mex in years because they probably won’t be able to come back. Trust me, we’re not gonna have a sudden invasion of Mexicans just cause they want to buy pizza. I . . . → Read More: What is the problem with accepting pesos for pizza?

If the value of the u.s dollar decreases because of other countrys, why not make money obsolete?

Question by needhelpnow: If the value of the u.s dollar decreases because of other countrys, why not make money obsolete?
So the question was, if america has all of this debt, why not print the money to pay off there debt. well the answer was because the more money in circulation, the less the us dollar value becomes. Also because other countries see other countries better to invest in, they arent buying our dollars and so on and so forth. so now the question becomes,

Why cant the united nations sit down and discuss a plan to move forward in a fashion to where money is no longer used. Owners run there businesses because there product is important to the person looking to have that product. instead of company’s fighting, one product is made. no Duracell or energizer. just battery. No ford, no chevy. just a car. I mean, i know this might sound stupid, but its just my thought. Why let currency hold us back from achieving a purpose for the greater good.

Conservatives! Liberals! How do you feel about the approaching North American Union?

Question by amazed we’ve survived this l: Conservatives! Liberals! How do you feel about the approaching North American Union?
It has apparently already been worked out with Canada and Mexico, making porous borders, making the Constitution obsolete, new laws covering the Union, new currency called the Amero. The US would be to the Union what France is the EU with a central government in Brussels. The people in the financial business are are talking about it on their TV and radio shows……Americans, Canadians and Mexicans would all be citizens of the Union.
Mel: why? ’cause you haven’t heard of it? look it up. google it. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0611/29/ldt.01.html

Do you think modern nations will be a thing of the past in 100 – 200 years and mankind will be finally united.?

Question by JonDoe297: Do you think modern nations will be a thing of the past in 100 – 200 years and mankind will be finally united.?
Modern nations in part were originally carved out by capitalists and those that wanted a uniform currency, borders, taxes, and laws to conduct business. And therefore as business becomes more international do you think borders will become obsolete and mankind will be unified in a single global entity?

Best answer:

Answer by KristieThe only way to really unite people is to completely get rid of religion. Many countries are basically created because a group of people (with similar religious beliefs) get together and create a nation (or a city, ect…).
So, the only way to unite everyone is to do away with religion.

Has the US come far enough beyond Brown v. Board for today’s Supreme Court ruling to NOT be damaging?

Question by RB: Has the US come far enough beyond Brown v. Board for today’s Supreme Court ruling to NOT be damaging?
I believe the entire world is in a foot race for “placement” in an inevitably developing intellectual caste system. Forget your monetary currency or its current exchange rate, it will soon be obsolete; tomorrow’s capitol is intellect.

So, the question is how taxing and erosive will returning to policies of non-inclusion be, when, this time, even allowing for a “Separate and unequal” minority stands to further cripple the viablity of our economy?

Your thoughts?

Best answer:

Answer by ZakSo we are suppose to live in a color blind society, EXCEPT when we are not suppose to.
So we are suppose to treat all people equally, EXCEPT when we are not suppose to .
So we are suppose to judge people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin, EXCEPT when we are not suppose to.

How taxing and erosive will returning to policies of judge first by color and race be to the viability of our economy?

China and Germany fight it out to become the world currency?

Question by who is #1?: China and Germany fight it out to become the world currency?

http://www.realecontv.com/videos/china/gold—chinas-end-game.html

Euro is failing, FedNote is failing, gold is over $ 1400/oz and silver is over $ 29/oz. The ‘dollar’ is going obsolete. China and those pesky Rooskies have made a deal to trade between themselves in their respective currencies without using the dollar as a currency. What’s next, oil no longer traded in terms of dollars?

Has anyone considered what happens when (I’m revealing here that in the 70s I read books) the “eurodollar” gets dumped and they all flood back here? What happens when the reserve currency of the world gets dumped on the open market? Your $ 15 an hour job now requires $ 400 worth of imported gasoline to get to work.

Does your employer have an inflation pay raise plan?

Con Men Scored Big With Saddam Hussein Currency–learn How They Did it

Con Men Scored Big With Saddam Hussein Currency–learn How They Did it

A duck’s quack does not echo. Foreign exchange not only encompasses mystique, intrigue, but an ideal, echoless shield to hide behind.

Just before the Saddam execution, before the first of the year, 2007, we purchased some Iraqi currency, 5-dinar (pronounced DEE-nar) notes to 250-dinar notes–all sporting portrait photos of a smiling Saddam on their face–for an average price of 38 cents each. Right after the execution–a matter of just one week–the price tripled, to about .10 each. We simply stashed these away in our safe deposit box and forgot them.

Quickly thereafter, it seems, con men–those who love to play their games in foreign exchange–found what they believed to be a bonanza. Just one month later, February, 2007, the Better Business Bureau was suddenly flooded with complaints from around the world. The scam involved originated from a Chicago area office-space-rental cubicle, found vacated when located. The con men were selling these obsolete bills for prices ranging from several hundred to thousands of dollars each. Iraqi Dinar – Currency Change and Redenomination

Iraqi Dinar – Currency Change and Redenomination

Several rumors have been coming up regarding the probable alterations in Iraq currency, Dinars, one of which is that Iraqi government is in the process of changing its currency again from the new Iraqi Dinar. The new Iraqi Dinar had been introduced in October 2003 after the reign of Saddam Hussein. The new currency was completely different with new denominations and new notes with innovative design. There has been speculation that another such alteration will be undertaken by the Iraqi government.

Another such rumor is the Iraqi dinar 25000 note will not be available in the future. The denomination will be made obsolete and hence all such notes will be tough to be exchanged in the future. The experts from Dinar Banker, the oldest and the largest US Iraqi Dinar dealer, denies all such rumors and gives logical explanation to all such rumors.

They claim that investors must not be concerned about any such rumors, since these rumors have been initiated with the objective of provoking fears among the investors. There are some businesses and individuals . . . → Read More: Iraqi Dinar – Currency Change and Redenomination
