Actually, the "establishment clause" of the 1st amendment doesn't mean what you think it does.

Remember that we had just fought a war with Britain, which had (and still has) an official state religion--the Church of England, headed by the Monarch (meaning that right now, Elizabeth II is the head of the Church of England). Such "official" churches are commonly called "established religions". While it's not true like it was back then, it was basically impossible to get along in government, the army, or society unless you were a CofE member.

What the frames did not want was an "established" Church of America, headed by the President. Please note that this isn't "Christianity"--it would be a specific deonomination like Lutheranism or Methodism.

As far as the Treaty of Tripoli is concerned, it's commonly understood that that language was in the treaty to assure the government of "Tripolitania" that we would not be using religion to determine how the treaty was interpreted and enforced. Also, "Tripolitania" was a self-governing province of the Ottoman Empire--neither of which has existed for close to 100 years. I'm not convinced that we're bound by the terms of a treaty we made with a province of an empire that no longer exists.

So? If you are so POLITICALLY CORRECT that it bothers you go somewhere where it isn't on the money and live in that society. Can't understand why those four words irritate people so much. Money is money and it doesn't matter what is written on it. What you wrote has nothing to do with it either. I do think however you need to re read your history and ask your teachers about it.

Would it be better if all money was painted yellow, for NON religion and no other color be put on it? That would please the Atheists, since they are Non religious. So, if one side
Has it one way, the other side must not. Why fight over money.? That's silly.

If the United States was painted all yellow, to signify NO religion….that would appease the Atheists. But then what about the Religious people,? Do they not also have rights, and shouldn't they also be allowed to have their colors shown? A little blue, perhaps, for religion?

By what I read, the answer is NO. No religious anything, anywhere.

You see, if all the country was Yellow, (no religion) and then a blue spot appeared on the road, a cross for someone who died at that spot….the yellow NON religious people raise all kinds of Hell about it. WHY? They have all the yellow, why can’t we have some blue? But that is the way it is.

Drive down a highway someday and look and see how many religious things are shown...not many, if any at all.... and then see how many NON religious things are shown....a lot of them, for sure.

If you take religion out of the country, then what is left to run it? NON religion. And is that any better? Their view points are so out of whack, they won’t even allow a small cross on the road, for some poor person who died there.

With that kind of mentality, where then would the religious people eventually end up? Kicked out of the country, for sure….and you talk about religion running the Government.

We would be no better off with one side running it then we were with the other side running it....we need to join forces and run it together.... and quit our little nick pickin..

Its just a way to make people think the the U.S. has principals. But every one knows the opposite. And yes its true, it should not be mention at all. But it is, and when it says 'GOD', its not about a christian, or Protestant God, its as a hidden mining.

G: Gold
O: Oil
D: Drugs
The Main proffering items on any economy. Also, hidden in the US government, they are pagan worshipers. So, "no God we trust" should be change to.

*cough cough*

It is a *Claytons Theocracy.
The theocracy you have when you're not having a theocracy.

How can it NOT be a theocracy when you have 'in god we trust' on your cash?

*Claytons is the brand name of a non-alcoholic beverage coloured and packaged to resemble bottled whisky in Australia and New Zealand in the 70s and 80s and promoted as "the drink you have when you're not having a drink".
